2019 Capiztahan Job Fair Lists 294 Qualified and 38 HOTS

 

Capiz, Philippines – Fifty-eight percent (58%) or 294 job applicants were qualified and referred for interview out of the 509 applicants who registered during the Capiztahan Grand Job Fair 2019 last April 14, 2019, held at the Activity Area, Robinson’s Place, Pueblo de Panay, Lawaan, Roxas City, Capiz.

 

38 job applicants were also hired-on-the-spot for various positions such as Production Operator, Customer Service Representative, and Service Crew.

 

 

 

There were 23 participating employers for local employment and 8 for overseas employment that offered a total of 6,584 vacancies. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Capiz also joined the activity and posted 172 vacancies. The agency reported that there were 4 who qualified among the 27 applicants.

 

Meanwhile, under the Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan (TNK), 15 livelihood beneficiaries participated by displaying their products, 1 entrepreneur referred by DTI demonstrated and trained registered applicants in Bead Works Accessories-Making and 5 government agencies namely PhilHealth, SSS, DTI, NSO, and HDMF provided one-stop-shop services.

Regional Director Cyril L. Ticao, who graced the activity, encouraged the applicants to seize the opportunity and explore the employment possibilities offered by various employers. He also encouraged applicants to try entrepreneurship or setting up their own business and provide employment to others in the long run.

 

The Capiztahan Grand Jobfair 2019 was conducted after the graduation exercises of educational institutions in Capiz. It was initiated by the LGU Capiz Province though the leadership of Gov. Antonio A. del Rosario and the PESO Manager Mr. John Leo Marco Beldia.

 

The said job fair was open not only for Capizeños but also for tourists and visitors who joined the festival.
